Dog DNA results

Filed under: Uncategorized — nicole @ 4:33 pm

Because I get asked on a daily basis what kind of dog I have, I decided to stop guessing and give Finn a DNA test. And the results were fascinating! He’s 45% American Staffordshire Terrier, 45% Basset Hound and 10% Chesapeake Bay Retriever. I would’ve NEVER guessed the Basset Hound in him but it makes complete sense: he has a long body and a hound dog face. And the retriever explains his incredible ability to fetch and retrieve, as well as height. Finn is very tall!

While it was kind of expensive to do the test ($125) it was worth every penny. I did it through CanineHeritage.com and I highly recommend it. They even sent me an official looking birth certificate!
